make me respect you

push the lil daises
I love how it seems as though the people who are going absolutely no where in life are telling those who are to stop complaining about the gas prices. It makes me giggle on the inside. And that's the extent of the shit talking I'm going to do in this entry.

I've finally talked the ladies at work into wearing scrubs, so I've invested in some awesome Elvis scrubs and some other animal related ones. It's kind of exciting even if they are the least flattering things a person can possibly wear. It still looks there than beat up jeans and an old t-shirt. Yeehaw.

This weekend consisted of mothering Rex while he was drunk out of his mind which involved being there while he puked and holding him as he cried about things that he doesn't need to cry about, and going to a terrible HPW show but being thoroughly entertained by Charlie and Lotus during intermission with them giving lapdances and signing disgusting female's boobs. I hope I never have a cottage cheese stomach.

Popcorn shrimp is good.

Hmmm
Your conceit is amusing and will make for deliscious irony later in life.

Yes, later in life when I'm enjoying my life, having the career that I've always wanted while you're still living in Edinburgh contributing nothing to society.

Delicious irony, for sure.

Oh wait... it's a silly thing to have LJ drama about, too!

Eh. Whatever, man. I wasn't trying to start anything... or be a jerk. Everyone else throws his/her two cents in, so I was just doing the same.

...and I'm not sure that my "folks" being "loaded" really has anything to do with it.

The fact that you don't have to afford anything on your own income because your dad is "loaded" has a LOT to do with it. If you need money, you can ask your dad. Who's paying for you college education? Apartment? Car insurance? Groceries?

Jesus FUCKING Christ, Kirsten. I figured this was done.

My original comment referred to the fact that this was all about GAS PRICES-- a common problem that no one can do anything about-- and it had somehow turned it into a way for you to criticize other peoples' life situations.

...now including mine.

Who the fuck cares who is paying for anything of mine? And why is it your business.. or anyone else's for that matter? Do you know me? No, not really. Do you know really ANYTHING about my situation... or care for that matter? No. And I don't really expect you to, so that is beside the point. I don't knock anyone's way of life or thinking, but I will make a comment on something if I think it's silly. There's a difference between making a comment to say something is pointless to argue about and completely snicking your face into someone else's business with a malicious intent to make him/her feel like shit.

Stick to your fucking snobbish way of cutting others down to build yourself up and keep the fuck out of my business.

I think it's my fucking turn to giggle on the inside.

.. spare me the intellectual retort. I usually skip over your entries anyways.

Re: Deleted!
First off, I didn't expect you to understand why people might complain about gas prices. Currently, minimum wage is $5.15, which is only $2.16 above the price of a gallon of gas in the Columbus area. For people in Hawaii where gas has topped $4, they are nearly working one hour to pay for a gallon of gas. Obviously, this makes it nearly impossible for ANYONE to support even themselves working a 40 hr a week minimum wage job, let alone a family. For myself, I'm making much more than minimum wage, but due to my scholastic endeavors, I can only work three days a week. Due to this, the expense of gas heavily cuts into my pocket. And unfortunately, I don't live in Bloomington where I can ride my bike everywhere. I live in Taylorsville, a suburb of Columbus, and thanks to urban sprawl, it would be impossible for me to bike to school, the elementary schools I'm working in, my job, and everywhere else I go. Therefore, the realities of gas prices hit myself and people in the same boat as me (Kirsten, Lyrch, Adam Cooley, anyone else that has to support themselves and doesn't live in an area with a mass transit system or the ability to bike everywhere). That is why I complain.

The reason your financial situation was brought up is because it highly effects your rational and opinions. If you were working for minimum wage and had to deal with the reality of driving everywhere, I can assuredly bet your comment wouldn't be, "Oh, complaining about gas prices is soooo silly!" However, you are fortunate enough that you have very few bills to pay, if any, and therefore, gas prices do not affect you whatsoever. Even if you are working a job and paying for your schooling, your housing, your car insurance, etc, if you get into a bad financial predicament, you can merely ask your father for money and you will immediately be out of your situation. That is not realistic for most people. Because of all this, gas prices and the complaints that go with it do not matter to you and you feel they should not matter to anyone. That is HIGHLY ridiculous and insanely absurd to even suggest.

Try to remove yourself from your sheltered and privileged life and recognize that other people have troubles that you could never understand from your myopic view of life.

Re: Deleted!
Once again...

My comment didn't even suggest that people shouldn't care about gas prices, only that it's ridiculous to use it as an avenue to put down other people. I had nothing against anyone complaining about gas prices... I have nothing against anyone's life situation either.. and I definately don't look down on anyone because I'm more "priveleged" than them. I don't even think that way.. apparently you do, except maybe in the opposite light. Not all people whose parents help them financially are spoiled, ungrateful assholes. I WASN'T EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS!

I see your point completely about high gas prices and the fact that it makes it difficult for many people to get around... and would agree with you.. if it was even what I was talking about in the first place. But no... I made a comment that stated it was silly to cause a brawl about it.. and I was attacked for something completely different.

Get over yourself before you even attempt to make me feel like an ass.

Re: Deleted!
Point taken. However, the original meaning of my post was that it is silly only in the fact that nothing can be done about it by complaining... which I thought I explained in my comment to Kirsten. (A common problem that no one can do anything about..?)

If Rex weren't a dude who was taken, I would lick his face. I might anyway. Intelligence and thought defeat randomly CAPITALIZING things, and swearing for no fucking reason again. Selfish closed mindedness runs rampant, sadly, especially in the middle and south of this country. There should be a vaccine.

When I devise my car that runs on ice cream, I will really have something. Need to cry? Fear not, I shall call the waaaaaaaaa-mbulance for you. And I graduated college. Thank you for your time.
